Privacy notice

This site is run by me, Mark Anderson, trading as ICT Evangelist, in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about your data, email me at mark@ictevangelist.com.

The short version

I collect as little as possible. There are no accounts and no forms, and you don't need to sign up for anything to use IDEAL Thinkers; neither do your pupils. Analytics only runs if you say yes to it.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, which pages get read and where visitors come from, so I can make it better. It only runs if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses, and the data isn't used for advertising. If you accept, it sets two cookies, _ga and one starting _ga_, which last up to two years. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

What other services see

A few things on the site come from other services. Like any website, they see basic details such as your IP address when your browser asks them for something.

• GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security. See GitHub's privacy statement.
• Google Fonts supplies the fonts.
• Google Slides shows the slides on each lesson page. Google may set cookies when they load, particularly if you're signed in to a Google account.
• Make a copy, Preview, Download and the Drive folder buttons take you to Google. If you make a copy, it sits in your own or your school's Google account.

What Google does with this is covered by Google's privacy policy.
